Are you living in cold, draughty, rented accommodation that is off the gas grid? Last winter Sam and Jake produced thermal images of eight typical 'hard-to-treat' homes in the Marlborough area. We discovered that people who live in privately rented, off gas-grid homes are most vulnerable to fuel poverty. This is because many of these rural dwellings have solid walls and use expensive oil, LPG or electricity for heating. You can read our full report here...
Do you know that from 2018, landlords must ensure that their privately rented properties meet a minimum energy efficiency standard or EPC rating of ‘E’? We are planning to write to all the private landlords in the area to alert them to the government's latest Green Deal offers, so that they can comply with this new law in good time.
