Aluminium Foil

Reduce

If you are storing food, try to use washable containers designed for food storage or re-use bread bags,  margarine and ice cream tubs instead. Use baking parchment in the oven - this can be composted.

Reuse

Clean foil may be reused in the kitchen or for craft projects.

Recycle

Aluminium foil (e.g. pie trays) scrunches up if you squeeze it in your hand, and can be recycled.  Laminated foil packaging, such as crisp packets, springs back in your hand after being scrunched, and cannot be recycled.  Please make sure that your foil is washed.

Aluminium foil can be put into kerbside collection black boxes and is accepted at Marlborough Household Recycling Centre.
