Reduce

Buy secondhand, or buy furniture that has been converted from something else (e.g. railway sleepers). For wooden furniture, check it has the FSC logo.

Reuse

If the items are of good enough quality they can be refurbished for reuse. Contact Kennet Furniture Project  in Devizes (01380 720722) or the British Heart Foundation store in Swindon (0844 248 9119), to arrange collection.  (NB Kennet Furniture Project does not seem to want single armchairs.) Sell on ebay or other sites; give away on freecycle.

Recycle
